Welcome Home
Charlie Mountain is a self contained, one entrance residential community of 38 homes in the north Georgia mountains at an elevation of between 2400 feet and 3000 feet, just minutes from Clayton with its many stores and restaurants. The mountain overlooks Lake Burton with access to Anchorage Marina, the Appalachian Trail, as well as many other hiking trails and waterfalls. The mountain is in proximity to several state parks and two other lakes. All roads are paved; however, only the first mile of Rainwater Trail is maintained by Rabun County. All other roads are private and maintained by the individual homeowners. We are members of FireWise which yearly monitors the trees and undergrowth around each home.
Electricity is provided by Habersham Electric with most lines buried. Water is provided and maintained by Community Water Systems. There are currently 21 homes and lots in the HOA governed by a board consisting of a president, treasurer, secretary and architectural control chair. The HOA is a domestic non profit corporation incorporated in 1986.
